The Perryville Optimist Soccer League (POSL) was founded in the early 1980's to give the youth in Perry County an opportunity to play the most popular youth sport in the country. The original league consisted of a COED league that was played during the Fall season.  As the league grew, a Girls league was then added in the spring.  In the mid 1990's  the league expanded to offer both a COED and Girls league in the Spring and the Fall. The City Park in Perryville was the site for the first games in the early 80's until the Spring season of 2005.  In 2005 the Perryville Optimist Club opened up The Bank of Missouri Soccer Complex. The complex consists of ten soccer fields to accomidate all ages. The POSL is a recreational  league created to offer soccer for all ages and skill levels.  Our goal is to provide a league to compete, to have fun, and to learn the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
